On June 14, 15 and 16, banks are open for three days in industrial areas

On the occasion of Eid-ul-Azha and the weekend on 14th, 15th and 16th June, the workers, employees and officials working in the garment industry have been asked to keep banks open on a limited scale in the industry-related areas in order to facilitate the payment of salaries and bonuses and other allowances and sale of export bills. On those three days, transactions will be carried out at the respective branches at the scheduled time.

On Sunday (June 9), Bangladesh Bank issued instructions in this regard.

According to the instructions, the branches of the commercial banks will be open on 14th, 15th and 16th of June for the purchase of export bills and salaries of workers and officials working in the garment industry made on the occasion of upcoming Eid-ul-Azha.

It is also stated in the instructions that the branches related to garment industry made by Scheduled Bank located in Dhaka city, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar, Bhaluka, Narayanganj and Chittagong will remain open on holidays by ensuring adequate security.
