Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Advisor of Bangladesh’s interim government, has arrived in Bangkok, Thailand, to attend the 6th BIMSTEC Summit, which brings together top leaders from South Asia.
His flight, operated by Biman Bangladesh Airlines, landed at Bangkok Airport at 12 PM local time, where he was welcomed by Thailand’s Minister Jiraporn Sindhuprai.
The BIMSTEC Summit, a regional cooperation platform for Bay of Bengal nations, is taking place in Bangkok from April 2 to 4. During the event, Dr. Yunus is expected to hold bilateral meetings with various heads of government from BIMSTEC member states.
Additionally, sources from the Chief Advisor’s office have indicated that a meeting between Dr. Yunus and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi may take place on the sidelines of the summit.
