At the opening session of the Bangladesh Investment Summit 2025, held at Hotel InterContinental, Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus urged global investors to bring business to Bangladesh to help transform the world. Highlighting Bangladesh as a land of “crazy ideas that can actually change the world,” Dr. Yunus emphasized the country’s growing potential in global innovation and investment.
Organized by the Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA), the summit featured speakers such as Oscar Garcia from Spain, Rosie Winterton from the UK, and Nasim Manzur from Bangladesh. BIDA’s Executive Chairman, Chowdhury Ashiq Mahmud bin Harun, presented a detailed paper on Bangladesh’s investment landscape. The session was moderated by Dr. Yunus’s International Affairs Envoy, Lutfe Siddique.
The four-day summit, which began on April 7, focuses on highlighting Bangladesh’s expanding investment opportunities, recent post-July economic reforms, and the development of a long-term investment pipeline to ensure sustainable growth. The event has attracted top investors, business leaders, and policymakers from around the world.
