Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the Chief Adviser of the interim government, is set to travel to Qatar on a four-day official visit, where he will participate in the "Arthna Summit 2025." Dr. Yunus will depart for Qatar's capital, Doha, on Monday, April 21, at 7 PM. He will be accompanied by Foreign Affairs Adviser Mohammad Touhid Hossain, Energy Adviser Mohammad Fawzul Kabir Khan, and Industry Adviser Adilur Rahman Khan.

In a historic first, four prominent Bangladeshi female athletes will also join the delegation as part of the Chief Adviser’s entourage. These athletes are footballers Afida Khan and Shaheda Akhter Ripa, as well as cricketers Sumaiya Akhter and Sharmin Sultana.

The visit, which is at the invitation of Qatar's Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, will also include the possibility of a meeting between the Chief Adviser and the Emir. The focus of the "Arthna Summit" will be on promoting sustainable development by leveraging Qatar’s traditional culture and unique ecological diversity. The summit will serve as a platform for discussions on combining traditional knowledge with modern innovations to unveil new paths for sustainable development and create a prosperous, inclusive future.
