Chief Advisor Dr. Muhammad Yunus is scheduled to hold his second meeting with political parties tomorrow (June 2). According to Assistant Press Secretary Abul Kalam Azad Mujumdar, who spoke at a press conference today (June 1), the meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. at the Foreign Service Academy. All political parties involved in the ongoing reform dialogue have been invited to participate.
Mujumdar added that at Monday's meeting, Dr. Yunus will formally launch the dialogue, which will continue as part of the wider reform discussions. He also noted that additional meetings are expected to be held both before and after Eid-ul-Azha.
Present at the press conference were Press Secretary Shafiqul Alam and Senior Assistant Press Secretary Ahmed Foyez, who provided further details about the proceedings. This upcoming meeting follows the first phase of discussions, which concluded on May 19 with the National Consensus Commission—led by the Chief Advisor—holding talks with various political parties. The commission has been engaging in continuous dialogue with political parties since March 20 as part of its efforts to build a national consensus on state reform initiatives, having begun finalizing its key recommendations since February 15, 2025.
