In the outgoing week, seven listed companies on the stock market announced dividends. These companies are Pragati Insurance, Meghna Insurance, United Insurance, Bangladesh National Insurance, Bata Shoe, Jamuna Bank, and Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh PLC, according to information from the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE).

Pragati Insurance declared a 27% dividend for the financial year ending December 31, 2024, comprising 20% cash and 7% bonus shares. The company’s earnings per share (EPS) stood at Tk 5.61, compared to Tk 5.01 (restated) in the previous year. Its net asset value per share (NAVPS) was Tk 57.58. The Annual General Meeting (AGM) will be held digitally on June 19, with a record date set for May 19.

Meghna Insurance announced a 10% cash dividend for the same financial year. The company’s EPS was Tk 1.31, slightly up from Tk 1.29 the year before. NAVPS was reported at Tk 24.61. The AGM is scheduled for June 18 through a hybrid platform, with the record date on May 28.

Jamuna Bank declared a total 24% dividend, comprising 17.5% cash and 6.5% bonus shares. Its consolidated EPS for the year stood at Tk 3.17, up from Tk 2.68 the previous year. NAVPS was Tk 24.61. The bank’s AGM will be held digitally on June 24, with a record date of May 14.

United Insurance announced a 15% cash dividend. Its consolidated EPS rose to Tk 2.26 from Tk 1.78 in the previous year. The company’s NAVPS stood at Tk 30.59. The 40th AGM is scheduled for June 24 at 11 AM via digital platform, with the record date on May 20.

Bangladesh National Insurance declared a 20% cash dividend. The insurer posted an EPS of Tk 4.19, up from Tk 4.04 the year before. NAVPS stood at Tk 28.45. The 29th AGM will be held digitally on June 24 at noon, with the record date set for May 20.

Bata Shoe Company announced a final 105% cash dividend for the year ended December 31, 2024. Its EPS fell to Tk 21.62 from Tk 29.31 a year earlier. NAVPS was recorded at Tk 220.22. The AGM will be held on June 26, with May 26 as the record date.

Heidelberg Materials Bangladesh declared a 25% cash dividend. Its EPS for 2024 stood at Tk 8.17, slightly higher than Tk 8.13 the previous year. Cash flow per share was reported at Tk 36.26, while NAVPS stood at Tk 72.87. The AGM will be conducted in a hybrid format on June 16, with the record date on May 20.
