On Sunday, May 4—the first trading day of the week—290 out of 395 companies listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) saw a rise in their share prices. Bank Asia led the gainers, with its share price increasing by Tk 1.70 or 10.43 percent compared to the previous trading session, placing it at the top of the day’s gainers list.

Rangpur Dairy came in second, with its shares rising by Tk 2.10 or 9.91 percent. Genex Infosys secured the third spot as its share price climbed by Tk 2 or 9.90 percent.

Other notable gainers on the DSE included Shahjibazar Power (9.90%), Baraka Patenga Power (9.80%), Sea Pearl Beach Resort (9.70%), Baraka Power (9.68%), Advent Pharma (9.63%), Midland Bank (9.62%), and GBB Power (9.59%).
