On Sunday, May 4—the first trading session of the week—67 out of 395 companies listed on the Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE) witnessed a decline in share prices. Topping the list of losers was Express Insurance, which saw its share price drop by Tk 3.30 or 6.41 percent compared to the previous day.
Reckitt Benckiser took the second spot in terms of price decline, falling by Tk 143.40 or 4.99 percent. Shahjalal Bank ranked third, with its share price decreasing by Tk 0.90 or 4.74 percent.
Other notable decliners on the DSE included Peoples Leasing (4.35%), Zaheen Textile (4.26%), Mercantile Bank (4.21%), Asia Pacific General Insurance (3.85%), Unilever Consumer Care (3.82%), Progressive Life Insurance (3.78%), and Social Islami Bank Limited (3.49%).
