Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) Mayor Atiqul Islam has announced to remove waste within 6 hours during this year’s Qurbani Eid.

He announced this while inaugurating 40 new trucks bought for Qurbani waste management on Wednesday (June 12). The trucks were purchased by DNCC with its own funds. 30 crore has been spent.

Mayor Atiq said that Dhaka North City Corporation removed about 20,000 tons of waste in three days during last Qurbani Eid. All the waste of the sacrifice will be removed within 6 hours on the day of Eid through the new vehicles.

At this time, the DNCC mayor requested the citizens to complete the Qurbani within the first two days of Eid.

He said that the owners of animal markets do not dispose of waste properly. So it has been decided that DSCC will clean all the waste of the hut. For this reason, 10 percent has been deducted from the tenants of the hut.

Later, Mayor Atiq was informed that a haat had been set up on the road in Uttara Sector 10. In this regard, he said, if any market sits on the road, their security money will be confiscated.
