Greetings and congratulations to the newly appointed Acting Principal of Tejgaon College Mr. Shamima Yasmin. On Tuesday (September 3) in the afternoon at Tejgaon College, the general students of the college expressed their greetings at the principal’s office.

At that time, the general students of Tejgaon College discussed extensively with the new Acting Principal about their reformed clauses/demands, the college teachers were also present there.

Acting Principal Professor Shamima Yasmin while receiving greetings said that education is the backbone of the nation. Education is necessary for acquiring knowledge, there is no substitute for it. Recently, students are playing a leading role in reforming the country. I pray for the souls of all the martyrs of the anti-discrimination student movement and wish for the speedy recovery of those who are still sick. I discussed with the teachers yesterday about the logical points/demands given by the general students of Tejgaon College. After reviewing the points/claims in the discussion, the teachers found almost all of them to be reasonable. Implementation is possible if we all try together.

But I joined as a newly appointed Acting Principal, I have some limitations as Acting Principal. So fulfilling the claims/clauses is a bit time consuming. However, a committee has been formed with teachers to take quick action to implement the issue of form-fill, which is possible at this moment. We the teachers and students together will make Tejgaon College as a role model.

He also said to the general students, come back to class. Acting Principal Mr. Shamima Yasmin also assured that all reasonable clauses/demands will be accepted. At this time, he wished success to the general students.

General students said, we welcomed Mr. Shamima Yasmin Ma’am as acting principal. Acting Principal Sir has assured to fulfill our clauses/demands and we believe that he is always with the general students of Tejgaon College.

We will try our best to help the Acting Principal Ma’am in realizing our legitimate demands. We common students want a non-partisan, neutral, beautiful and open campus.
