The storm and hail started yesterday around 10:30 pm. After that the storm stopped but it continued to rain throughout the night. Houses in Paglabazar, Raipur Kandigaon, Mirzapur, Nabinagar villages of Paschimpagla Union of Shantiganj Upazila were damaged due to storm and hail.

Yakub Shahriar, a resident teacher of Shantiganj, said that around 10:30 pm, a heavy storm and massive hailstorm started. He was then in Paglabazar of the upazila. Many shops in the market were destroyed in the storm. Many houses in the surrounding villages were destroyed. Hail rain has also occurred in Haor area of ​​the upazila.

Doctor Nirupam Roy Chowdhury in the emergency department of Sunamganj Sadar Hospital told Prothom Alo that a person named Saddam Hossain came to the hospital after being injured during the storm. He was sent to MAG Osmani Medical College Hospital in Sylhet with first aid.

Hasan Ahmad, a resident of Gobindganj area of ​​Chatak, said that there was a heavy storm and hailstorm in his upazila. Trees fell on the road during the storm.
