The Vice-Chancellor of Dhaka University, Professor Dr. Niaz Ahmed Khan, visited students who were on a hunger strike near the Raju Memorial sculpture.

The students began their hunger strike last Thursday morning, demanding the arrest and punishment of individuals involved in attacks on students and civilians during the protests in July and August. Associate Professor Saifuddin Ahmed, the Proctor of Dhaka University, eventually persuaded the students to end their hunger strike.
