Due to supply shortages, most petrol stations in the capital are experiencing a fuel crisis. On Monday morning (March 23), this situation was observed at several filling stations across the city.
Long queues of vehicles have formed as drivers wait to fill up, with some stations displaying notices that fuel is unavailable. Motorists have been moving from one station to another in search of petrol, expressing their frustration over the inconvenience.
Station owners said the temporary shortage occurred because fuel deliveries from depots were halted for two days during the Eid holiday. They hope that supply will return to normal by the afternoon.
Earlier, on Sunday night (March 22), the Bangladesh Petrol Pump Owners’ Association posted on Facebook that a lack of security and fuel could lead to the closure of petrol pumps nationwide at any time.
