The Dhaka Stock Exchange (DSE), the country’s main stock market, witnessed an upward trend in indices on Tuesday, March 25, the third trading day of the week. Most company shares saw price gains during early trading hours.
According to DSE sources, within the first 90 minutes of trading, the benchmark index DSEX rose by 26.11 points, reaching 5,223 points. The Shariah Index (DSES) increased by 3.68 points to 1,169 points, while the DS-30 Index, which tracks blue-chip stocks, climbed 12.01 points to 1,923 points.
During this period, total turnover on the DSE amounted to 1.68 billion BDT. Out of the traded stocks, 250 companies recorded price increases, while 69 saw declines, and 66 remained unchanged.
