In Los Angeles, retiree Teresa Gaine joined the protest, saying it is important for everyone to stand against authoritarianism, fascism, and greed.

She remarked, “Everything Trump is doing is aimed at enriching himself and taking resources away from ordinary Americans.”

On Saturday, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security reported that nearly a thousand individuals surrounded a federal building, and two people were arrested for allegedly assaulting federal officers.

The Los Angeles Police Department stated on social media that several protesters were detained for refusing to leave the area near a federal detention facility.

Authorities used tear gas to disperse the crowd after protesters threw objects, including bricks, over a barrier.
