Science Festival Held at Dhaka Madrasah, Campus Buzzes with Students’ Innovative Activities

With the aim of nurturing a science-oriented generation, a day-long Science Festival was held at the historic Dhaka Madrasah in the capital. Organized on February 1, 2026, the festival transformed the entire campus into a vibrant hub of innovation, creativity, and cultural expression by students.

The chief guest of the event was Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan, Associate Professor of the Bangladesh Islamic Academy. Special guests included Md. Abdul Mannan, President of Dhaka Madrasah, and Al-Baru Mostakim Nibir, Head of the Crime and Investigation Cell of the daily Manabkantha.

In his inaugural speech, Chief Guest Dr. Md. Abdul Mannan stated,

“No nation can move toward sustainable development without practicing science. This festival is a shining example that madrasah students are equally capable of excelling in science and technology.”

Centered around the science festival, students arranged a wide range of activities, including science-based project exhibitions, innovative models, presentations on information technology, handmade scientific instruments, and awareness stalls on environmental and health issues. Students enthusiastically explained the working principles of their projects to visitors.

Alongside scientific exploration, the festival also featured a rich lineup of cultural performances. Patriotic songs, poetry recitations, short dramas, and dance performances provided students with a platform to showcase their talents, drawing widespread appreciation from the audience.

Speaking at the event, special guest Al-Baru Mostakim Nibir said,

“Today’s students are the architects of tomorrow’s society. Only through the integration of science and human values can we build a conscious and just society.”

Organizers said the festival was arranged to encourage students to develop a scientific mindset and to inspire learning beyond textbooks. They also expressed hope to continue organizing such events in the future.

Through the harmonious blend of science, culture, and creativity, the Science Festival at Dhaka Madrasah has instilled new enthusiasm and inspiration among students, according to participants and observers.
