Jucsu ballot tally stretches into third day, results may be finalized this afternoon

Vote counting for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (Jucsu) election has wrapped up in 18 residential halls, with the remaining halls expected to finish by 1:00pm today, according to university election officials.
The counting process is being carried out this morning at the Senate Building on campus.
Around 11:30am, Jucsu election commission member Prof Lutful Elahi informed that counting was still underway at Maulana Bhasani Hall, Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam Hall, Bishwakobi Rabindranath Tagore Hall, and Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Hall.
Today marks the third straight day of the ongoing vote tally.
- At around 12:10pm, Prof Dr AKM Rashidul Alam, Member Secretary of the Jucsu Election Commission, said the counting would be wrapped up within the next hour.
