The polls for the Jahangirnagar University Central Students’ Union (JUCSU) election have officially ended.
With voting wrapped up at all 21 centers, attention now turns to the ballot count that will decide the new student representatives.
Polling took place from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on Thursday and, according to university officials, proceeded smoothly without major disruptions.
Once voting closed, security forces oversaw the transfer of ballot boxes to the Senate Building, where the Election Commission will conduct the counting process.
A returning officer from one of the halls remarked, “The election was held in a vibrant and peaceful environment. Turnout at our center was higher than expected. The ballots have now been sent to the Senate Building, and the counting will begin shortly under the Commission’s supervision.”
