Bollywood actress Yami Gautam is a mother for the first time. She gave the good news of becoming a mother of a son in a post on social media on Monday morning.

In a joint statement on Instagram this morning, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar said, ‘A baby boy has arrived in our home — it’s a wonderful thrill to share the news with you.’

They also said in the post that Yami became the mother of a child on May 10. The name of the son is Vedabid.

Yami Gautam announced her pregnancy last February. Yami’s movie ‘Article 370’ was released in theaters on 23 February.

Yami’s husband Aditya produced the film directed by Aditya Jamble. In the press conference before the release of the movie, Yami said that she shot the action movie while pregnant.

Yami said about the experience of shooting the film, ‘This time a lot of precautions had to be followed. I am really lucky to have a special team of doctors for me on the set. And they secretly looked after me. I didn’t let anyone on the set understand it. But by the time I found out I was pregnant, the stunt scenes were over. But the first child in the womb is always challenging. So everything was physically and mentally exhausting for me.”
