It has been buzzing in Bollywood for a few days that Akshay is stepping into the world of Telugu films. The makers gave a seal to this rumor on Tuesday. South actor and one of the film’s producers Vishnu Manchu has confirmed the news of Akshay’s role in ‘Kannappa’ by releasing a video on X.

Sharing a video on X, Vishnu wrote, ‘Mr. By welcoming Akshay Kumar to the Telugu film industry, our “Kannappa” journey has become more exciting. We are also thrilled to announce his debut in Telugu cinema with “Kannappa”. Get ready for an unforgettable adventure everyone.’

Earlier, Akshay Kumar acted in several regional language films of India. In 2013, Akshay was seen in a cameo role in the Punjabi movie ‘Bhaji in Problem’. In 2018, Akshay played the role of Khal in the Tamil film ‘Two Point O/Zero’ alongside Rajinikanth and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. This is the first time he will be seen in a Telugu movie. The movie will be directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh.

Actor Vishnu Manchu will play the role of Shiva devotee ‘Kannappa’ in the movie. Apart from this, stars like Prabhas and Mohanlal will also be seen. The movie will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, Kannada, Hindi and English languages.
