Saudi Arabia has announced that visitors holding any type of visa will now be allowed to perform the holy Umrah pilgrimage while staying in the Kingdom.
The country’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah confirmed the update, stating that the new policy applies to holders of personal, family, e-tourist, transit, labor, and other visa categories.
According to the ministry, the initiative aims to make the Umrah pilgrimage more accessible and comfortable for Muslims from around the world. The government of Saudi Arabia continues to introduce measures that facilitate religious travel as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the experience for international pilgrims.
To further streamline the process, Saudi authorities have recently launched an online platform called “Nusuk Umrah.” Through this digital service, individuals wishing to perform Umrah can easily choose suitable travel packages and obtain the required Umrah permit online.
The integrated platform also allows users to select additional services and schedule their pilgrimage according to convenience.
The announcement was published by the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) and highlights the continued commitment of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman to improving facilities for pilgrims visiting the two holy mosques.
The ministry noted that the initiative reflects the leadership’s dedication to providing a safe and spiritually fulfilling environment for worshippers and ensuring that every guest of Allah enjoys a smooth and enriching religious journey.
