A missile strike on a house in Ramat Gan killed a couple, while 192 people received hospital treatment within 24 hours due to various injuries caused by the attacks.

Meanwhile, one of the world’s largest natural gas fields, South Pars in Iran, has caught fire following Israeli strikes. The incident reportedly took place on March 14 in Bushehr province. Iranian state media claimed that the United States and Israel were behind the attack on the coastal gas field. In response, Tehran has threatened to target energy facilities in Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Qatar. However, Qatar has condemned the strike on Iran’s gas infrastructure.

Heavy strikes in Beirut

Israel has also intensified its military operations in Lebanon. Late Tuesday night, Israeli forces destroyed a 15-story building in Beirut, the capital. Overnight attacks across two districts left 10 people dead and 27 others injured. Among those killed were Mohammad Shari, head of the political division of Hezbollah-affiliated Al-Manar TV, and his wife.

Growing pressure on Trump

Roughly one-fifth of the world’s energy supply passes through the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global shipping route that has been closed for 19 days due to the conflict. U.S. President Donald Trump has faced increasing pressure at home and abroad as oil prices continue to rise. His efforts to seek support from NATO and Arab allies to reopen the route have not received a positive response.

Speaking at the Oval Office on Tuesday, Trump said most allied nations were reluctant to get involved in the conflict. He added that while the U.S. does not necessarily need NATO’s help, member states should have been present to ensure security in the Strait of Hormuz. He also criticized NATO members, calling their lack of involvement a mistake.

However, Lord Peter Ricketts, former UK National Security Adviser and ex-NATO ambassador, told the BBC that Trump misunderstands the alliance. He emphasized that NATO was established as a defensive organization and is not obligated to join wars initiated by the United States without consultation.

Analysts believe that despite continued strikes by the U.S. and Israel, Iran has maintained strategic leverage by controlling the Strait of Hormuz. Tehran may use this position as a bargaining tool in any future negotiations to end the conflict.

Rising opposition within the U.S.

Criticism of the war is also growing within the Trump administration. Joe Kent, director of the U.S. National Counterterrorism Center, resigned in protest, stating that Iran did not pose an imminent threat to the United States. He claimed the conflict was driven largely by pressure from Israel and influential pro-Israel groups in Washington. His resignation has intensified debate within the U.S.

Trump has also been criticized by longtime supporter and former Miss California, Carrie Prejean Boller. Speaking on a television program, she said she no longer recognizes the president. Suggesting that the war was influenced by Israeli pressure, she added that it feels as though the United States is being controlled by an external power.
