Amid ongoing conflict with Israel and the United States, Iran’s President Masoud Pezeshkian has urged Washington to focus on its own internal unrest. He pointed to widespread protests inside the U.S. against President Donald Trump, suggesting that growing public dissatisfaction over pro-Israel policies should not be ignored.
In a post on X on Sunday evening, Pezeshkian referenced the recent “No Kings” demonstrations held across the United States, where thousands protested against the Trump administration. He argued that these protests reflect rising frustration among Americans over perceived external influence on national decision-making.
Pezeshkian also called on U.S. artificial intelligence experts to make Trump aware of the situation, stating that many citizens are unhappy with policies they believe prioritize Israel. He described the protests as a sign of deeper discontent within American society.
The remarks come as hostilities between Iran and the U.S., along with Israel, have continued for about a month following joint strikes on Iran in late February. In response, Iran has targeted U.S. bases across parts of the Middle East, leading to ongoing exchanges.
Meanwhile, countries like Pakistan, Turkey, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia have attempted to mediate and push both sides toward dialogue. However, Iran has expressed a lack of trust in the United States when it comes to negotiations.
