Another name of fear in recent times is dengue. Dengue has now become an epidemic from which no one is immune from the cradle to the elderly. It mixes with the infected person’s blood and weakens the immune system of the patient

Decreases the number of blood platelets which is fatal for the patient. Platelets or Thrombocytes (Thrombocytes) are a type of blood cells, which help in blood clotting. If the number of platelets decreases, the risk of bleeding increases. Although various methods are available as a treatment for it, papaya leaf extract plays an important role in increasing the number of platelets among natural ingredients, according to research.

Papaya tree is very well known in our country

Papaya is a popular fruit, the leaves of which contain many medicinal properties. In particular, papaya leaf extract has been shown to be very effective in increasing the number of platelets in the blood. Various bioactive compounds present in papaya leaves, such as papain, flavonoids, alkaloids, and glycosides are helpful in this task, helping to increase platelets in the patient’s body by consuming papaya leaf extract.

The ingredients in papaya leaf extract strengthen the body’s immune system, which helps fight viral diseases.  Papaya leaves contain antioxidants like vitamin C which prevents cell damage and protects blood cells.  Papaya leaf juice/extract helps to reduce inflammation in the body, which reduces inflammation in the body caused by viral infections and plays a role in platelet regeneration.

Compounds in papaya leaves speed up the process of blood cell production, which helps in increasing the number of platelets in the blood.

In a 2011 Indian study, dengue patients who drank papaya leaf extract had a rapid increase in blood platelets. And another study in 2013 demonstrated the antiviral and anti-inflammatory effects of papaya leaf extract, which speeds up platelet production and helps maintain normal blood cell counts.

To extract papaya leaf extract, fresh papaya leaves are taken and cleaned, boiled in water and this extract is drunk. In some cases, it may also be effective to grind the leaves raw and drink the juice directly, and the raw leaves should be washed thoroughly before grinding to extract the extract. Although this extract is very effective, the taste of this extract is a bit bitter, so many people may feel a bit uncomfortable taking it.

Although papaya leaf extract is generally safe due to its natural medicinal properties, excessive consumption may cause some side effects, such as stomach problems or allergic reactions, but not everyone has this problem. Therefore, it is best to consult a doctor before taking it. Especially if the patient is already taking any medication.

Papaya leaf extract is recognized as a potential way to increase platelet count naturally. It can be especially effective in dengue and other viral infections. However, it is not a definitive treatment, but is used as an adjuvant.
