Recently, tensions have been rising between Bangladesh and India, with the fall of Sheikh Hasina's government and India’s concerns about the treatment of the Hindu minority in Bangladesh. India's dissatisfaction also stems from the arrest of Chinmoy Krishna Das, a leader of ISKCON. Amid these issues, Bangladesh has been strengthening its ties with Pakistan and purchasing military tanks from Turkey. In response, India’s Ministry of External Affairs spokesperson, Randeep Jaiswal, stated that India is closely monitoring Bangladesh's actions. Regarding the tank deal with Turkey, he emphasized that India is keeping a sharp eye on all security-related matters and would take necessary actions if required. Additionally, on the issue of Chinmoy Krishna Prabhu’s arrest, Jaiswal urged that those detained in Bangladesh receive a fair trial. Concerning the potential extradition of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Jaiswal confirmed that India had received a message from Bangladesh on this matter but had no further comments to add.
