President Mohammed Shahabuddin and Chief Adviser Dr. Muhammad Yunus are expected to perform Eid-ul-Fitr prayers at the National Eidgah on the premises of the High Court.
During a press briefing on Saturday, March 29, Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Administrator Md. Shahjahan Mia announced preparations and the schedule for the main congregation. He stated that both the President and the Chief Adviser are expected to attend the Eid prayer at the National Eidgah, where approximately 35,000 worshippers can participate.
The main Eid congregation is scheduled for 8:30 AM. According to the weather forecast, conditions are expected to be favorable. However, if the weather turns unfavorable, the primary Eid prayer will be held at Baitul Mukarram National Mosque at 9:00 AM.
Shahjahan Mia also advised worshippers to avoid bringing umbrellas. Regarding security measures, he assured that there are no safety concerns, as police, RAB, and other security agencies will be on duty to ensure a secure environment.
