Dr. Muhammad Yunus, Bangladesh’s Chief Adviser, held a highly constructive and fruitful meeting with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on the sidelines of the 6th BIMSTEC Summit in Bangkok, according to Press Secretary Shafiqur Alam. The leaders of both nations reportedly discussed all matters of mutual interest, including the return of former Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who was ousted in a mass uprising, her provocative remarks from India, ongoing border killings, and unresolved water-sharing agreements on the Ganges and Teesta rivers. The two also exchanged pleasantries during a banquet hosted on April 3, where they were seen engaging in close conversation. Both leaders are currently in Bangkok for the BIMSTEC summit, which is taking place from April 2 to 4.
