A total of 64,086 Bangladeshi pilgrims have returned home after performing the Hajj in 2025, according to a statement from the Hajj Office under the Ministry of Religious Affairs on Thursday, July 3. Among them, 5,007 pilgrims returned under government arrangements, while 59,079 came back through private management.
Three airlines operated the return flights: Biman Bangladesh Airlines, Saudia, and Flynas. Biman brought back 29,263 pilgrims, Saudia carried 26,047, and Flynas transported 8,776. So far, 173 return flights have been operated—Biman conducted 80, Saudia 70, and Flynas 23.
During this year’s pilgrimage, 38 Bangladeshi pilgrims passed away in Saudi Arabia, including 27 men and 11 women. The Hajj Office bulletin stated that most deaths were due to age-related complications and existing health conditions.
This year, a total of 87,157 Bangladeshi pilgrims participated in the Hajj. The pilgrimage journey began on April 29, with the final outbound flight departing for Saudi Arabia on May 31. The main Hajj rituals took place on June 5, and return flights are scheduled to continue until July 10.
