Asif Nazrul, the legal advisor to the interim government, has strongly denied a recent news report aired by a private television channel in Bangladesh. The report, titled “Dr. Asif Nazrul Does Not Want Religion-Based Politics,” has been labeled as unfounded and misleading by Nazrul.

In a 49-second video message posted on his verified Facebook page on Monday night, Asif Nazrul addressed the issue directly. “Earlier today, someone sent me a news clip from ATN Bangla News, with the title claiming I do not support religion-based politics,” he stated. “I want to clarify that there was no discussion on this topic today, and at no point did I mention religion-based politics in any meeting. These headlines are creating confusion.”

Nazrul expressed his disappointment with the misrepresentation, urging the media to refrain from spreading inaccurate information. “I am genuinely concerned. I request that you do not mislead the public with incorrect information. I never made such a statement. I hope you will choose your headlines carefully after reviewing my actual comments,” he concluded.
