The draft list of those who were martyred or injured during the July-August mass uprising has been released by the Special Cell for Mass Uprising Affairs. According to a press release signed by the cell's leader, Additional Secretary Khandaker Zahirul Islam, this initial list is part of the ongoing effort to verify and finalize the names of individuals affected during the movement.

The statement mentioned that the Ministry of Health, the Directorate General of Health Services, district committees from 64 districts, and the Special Cell are actively collaborating to validate the information. The draft list is now available on the cell’s official website and will remain open to the public until December 23, 2024.

Family members, heirs, or representatives of those listed are requested to review the information and submit any corrections or additional details by the deadline. Suggestions or amendments can be communicated via email to muspecialcell36@gmail.com.

Previously, on Friday, Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, Special Assistant to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, stated that the final list of martyrs would be submitted to the cabinet once all verifications are complete. The Special Cell’s leader further confirmed that 859 verified names had been received so far from the Health Directorate's Management Information System Department, though the process is still ongoing and additional names may be included.
