Gano Adhikar Parishad (GAP) President Nurul Haque Nur’s health condition is gradually improving, according to Brig. Gen. Md Asaduzzaman, Director of Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH). He shared the update with the media on Sunday, August 31, morning.
Asaduzzaman said that Nur is being treated for four injuries: a fractured nasal bone, a broken jaw, an eye injury, and a brain hemorrhage that is now subsiding.
“His CT scan results look promising, though he remains in some trauma. A six-member medical board is overseeing his treatment,” he added.
On Friday night, August 30, Nur and several GAP activists were severely injured during clashes with Jatiya Party members near Al Razi Tower, followed by baton charges from law enforcement. Nur was rushed to DMCH immediately after the incident.
