Mild to moderate heat wave is blowing in four districts of the country including two districts of Rangpur division today. It is unlikely that the heat wave will stop quickly, but rather the heat wave may spread to new areas. As heat waves increase, the amount of water vapor in the air increases. And this may increase the discomfort of people, said the Department of Meteorology.

According to the forecast given by the Meteorological Department at nine o’clock this morning, mild to moderate heat wave is flowing over Nilphamari, Dinajpur districts along with Rajshahi, Dhaka, Khulna and Barisal divisions. This heat wave may continue. And it can spread further.

According to the weather report, human discomfort may increase in this situation due to high water vapor in the air.

When asked what is the reason for such a situation, meteorologist Afroza Sultana of Meteorological Department told the media that a lot of water vapor coming from the south has remained in the air now. What happens in this condition, people sweat a lot. The heat may not be that much, but it feels a lot. And so this discomfort.

The Meteorological Office has predicted rain in two parts of the two divisions amid this scorching heat. They said that there may be temporary gusts of wind or rain with thunder in two places of Chittagong and Sylhet divisions today. Along with that, there may be rain of rocks due to its effect. Apart from this, the weather may remain mainly dry with partly cloudy sky elsewhere in the country.

Meteorologist Afroza Sultana said that there is little chance of rain in the capital or its surrounding areas today or tomorrow, Wednesday. In these areas, heat may increase.

Day temperatures may remain almost unchanged across the country and night temperatures may drop slightly.
