Bangladesh’s High Commissioner to India, M. Riaz Hamidullah, was summoned to the Indian Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi on Wednesday afternoon.

Diplomatic sources from both Bangladesh and India confirmed the development.

Earlier, on Monday, India’s High Commissioner in Dhaka, Pranay Verma, had been called to the Bangladesh Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The latest move in New Delhi comes just two days after the Indian envoy was summoned in Dhaka.
