Islamic Movement Announces Solo Election Bid, Candidates in 268 Constituencies

Islamic Movement Bangladesh’s Senior Joint Secretary General and spokesperson, Gazi Ataur Rahman, said the party submitted nomination papers in 270 constituencies, though two of those were later rejected.
He added that candidates are now actively campaigning in the remaining 268 seats. According to him, the party will contest independently in all these constituencies, and none of its candidates will withdraw their nominations.
Gazi Ataur Rahman made the remarks at a press conference held around 3:30 pm on Friday at the party’s central office in Purana Paltan, Dhaka. The briefing was organized to clarify the party’s position on seat-sharing and electoral strategy.
