NCP Forms Committee Led by Sarjis and Hannan to Oversee Local Government Elections

Although no date has yet been announced for the upcoming local government elections, the National Citizen Party (NCP) has formed a six-member committee to oversee the party’s election activities.

The committee will be chaired by Sarjis Alam, who serves as the party’s chief organizer for the northern region. Abdul Hannan Masud, senior joint chief coordinator of the party and Member of Parliament for Noakhali-6, has been appointed as the member secretary.

In a press release issued Monday night, Sadiya Farzana Dina from the party’s office cell confirmed the formation of the committee. The statement said the body was established under the direction of party convener Nahid Islam and member secretary Akhtar Hossain.

Four additional central leaders have been included as members of the committee: Ariful Islam Adib, Alauddin Mohammad, Tahsin Riaz, and Manjila Jhuma.

According to the statement, members of the party’s central committee, divisional organizing secretaries, and district-level leaders will extend full cooperation to the newly formed committee.
