Whips Pay Respects at the Graves of Ziaur Rahman and Khaleda Zia

The Chief Whip of the 13th National Parliament, Md. Nurul Islam, along with six newly appointed whips, paid their respects at the graves of the late President Ziaur Rahman and former Prime Minister Begum Khaleda Zia on Wednesday afternoon. They offered floral tributes and observed a moment of silence, followed by special prayers for the departed souls.
Also present with the Chief Whip were Whips Md. G.K. Gaus, Rokibul Islam, Mia Nuruddin Ahmed Apu, M. Ruhul Quddus Talukder Dulu, Md. Akhtaruzzaman Mia, and A.B.M. Ashraf Uddin (Nijan).
According to a press release from the Secretariat of the National Parliament, earlier in the day, a special briefing was held in the cabinet room of the Parliament Secretariat. The Chief Whip and the six whips were briefed on the functioning and activities of the National Parliament and the Secretariat, with relevant senior officials in attendance.
