Suchona Memorial Foundation Distributes Eid Gifts Among 300 Families in Old Dhaka
Ahead of the holy festival of Eid-ul-Fitr, Suchona Memorial Foundation distributed Eid gift packages among 300 underprivileged and low-income families in Old Dhaka. The humanitarian initiative was taken with the aim of sharing the joy of Eid with disadvantaged members of society.
The program was organized by Al Baru Mustakim Nibir, Chief of the Crime Investigation Cell at Manabkantha newspaper and Chairman of the Suchona Memorial Foundation.
According to the organization, the main objective of the initiative is to ensure that the joy of Eid is not limited only to the wealthy or well-off but reaches people from every level of society. As part of this effort, Eid gift packages containing essential food items were distributed to around 300 poor and underprivileged families from different areas of Old Dhaka.
The distributed items included polao rice, soybean oil, milk, sugar, ghee, salt, various types of semai (vermicelli), powdered milk, and chicken, enabling the families to prepare special meals for Eid.
Speaking on the occasion, Al Baru Mustakim Nibir said,
“Eid should not be a celebration limited only to those who are financially capable. Our effort will be meaningful if we can bring smiles to the faces of helpless and low-income people.”
He also added that the Suchona Memorial Foundation will continue to stand beside the underprivileged through various humanitarian and social initiatives in the future.
Active members of the organization including Muktadir Abir, Anjum Islam, Niloy Mridha, Shihab Alif, Rafa, and Muhammad were present during the distribution program and provided overall support.
