Ducsu Election Results Declared

The final results of the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (Ducsu) polls were published on Wednesday morning.

For the three top executive positions—Vice President (VP), General Secretary (GS), and Assistant General Secretary (AGS)—the Election Commission has released the official vote counts for the key contenders.

Vice President (VP)

Abu Sadiq Kayem (United Students’ Alliance, linked with Islami Chhatra Shibir): 14,042 votes

Abidul Islam Khan (Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal panel): 5,708 votes

Shamim Hossain (Independent): 3,883 votes

Umama Fatema (Independent Students’ Unity panel): 3,389 votes

Abdul Kader (Anti-Discrimination Student Council): 1,103 votes

Sheikh Tasnim Afroze Imi (Resistance Council): 68 votes

 

General Secretary (GS)

 

S.M. Forhad (United Students’ Alliance, Shibir-backed): 10,794 votes

Sheikh Tanvir Bari Hamim (JCD-backed): 5,283 votes

Meghmollar Basu (Resistance Council): 4,949 votes

Arafat Chowdhury (Independent): 4,044 votes

Abu Bakar Mojumdar (Anti-Discrimination Council): 2,131 votes

Assistant General Secretary (AGS)

 

Md. Mohiuddin Khan (United Students’ Alliance, Shibir-backed): 11,772 votes

Tanvir Al Hadi Mayed (JCD-backed): 5,064 votes

Tahmid Al Muddassir Chowdhury (Independent): 3,008 votes

Jabir Ahmed Jubel (Resistance Council): 1,511 votes

Mohiuddin Rony (Independent): 1,137 votes

Ashrefa Khatun (Anti-Discrimination Council): 900 votes

Ashiqur Rahman Jim (Independent): 796 votes

 

Hasibul Islam (Independent): 500 votes
