
In the 24 hours leading up to Tuesday morning, three more people lost their lives to dengue, while 700 new patients were admitted to hospitals with the mosquito-borne viral fever.
With these new figures, the nationwide dengue death toll in 2025 has climbed to 220, while the total number of reported cases has reached 52,104.
Data from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) shows the latest hospitalizations by region: 105 in Barishal Division (beyond city corporation areas), 61 in Chattogram Division (outside city corporation), 149 in Dhaka Division (outside city corporation), 155 in Dhaka North City Corporation, 110 in Dhaka South City Corporation, 45 in Khulna Division (outside city corporation), 33 in Mymensingh Division (outside city corporation), 31 in Rajshahi Division (outside city corporation), 6 in Rangpur Division (outside city corporation), and 5 in Sylhet Division (outside city corporation).
Of the three recent fatalities, two were residents under Dhaka South City Corporation and one belonged to Dhaka North City Corporation.
