BRTA Chairman said these things after observing the overall situation of Gabtali Bus Terminal on Saturday.

On behalf of BRTA, the fare list has been posted at every counter, BRTA chairman said, “It is being watched by our magistrate, vigilance team members. Owners Association leaders are also serious about this, so that they don’t get a bad name.

Requesting the passengers, he further said, you will pay the fare by looking at the fare chart and pay the fare according to that list. Don’t pay an extra rupee. If anyone claims extra fare complain to our vigilance team before ticketing. If there is still no solution, our higher authorities will take strict action. I hope this year’s Eid journey will be safe, smooth and comfortable.

Noor Mohammad Majumdar said that during Eid some unfit cars come down the road, there is a common complaint every year. This time, we have reserved 550 buses of BRTC so that the unfit vehicles cannot come down on the road.

He said that he has asked the garment owners to give requisitions so that the unfit can take the BRTC bus instead of taking a car. So there is no chance for unfit cars to hit the road here. Besides, we have kept the local administration under vigilance to stop the places where unfit vehicles try to exit. Even if someone finds out, we will immediately take strict action through the local administration.
