The Metrorail will be closed on the day of the holy Eid al -Fitr on Thursday

The Metrorail will be closed on Thursday on Thursday. Eid al -Fitr is Friday the next day. Metrorail’s weekly holiday that day. As a result, the Metrorail is closed for two days.

Dhaka Mass Transit Company Limited (DMTCL) Deputy Manager Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan said this on Wednesday morning. He said that the Metrorail will be closed on Eid as per the previous announcement. Last year’s Eid was also closed to the metro.

Nazmul Islam Bhuiyan also said that the Eid day was closed on Thursday. And Friday is a weekly holiday. As a result, the Metrorail movement will be closed for two days. The Metrorail will follow the schedule from next Saturday.

In the early days of the holy month of Ramadan, on an average, 2 lakh 3 to 3 thousand passengers have been transported every day in the Metrorail. Prior to Ramadan, the number was like 2 lakh 3 thousand. The number of passengers has increased after the movement of Metrorail from Ramadan to one hour. On an average, 2 lakh 3 thousand in the last five days, and in some days three lakh passengers have been traveling.

The Metrorail authorities had earlier said that the Metrorail was being run by the company’s own staff. The number of their staff is lower than usual. As a result, if the Metrorail continues on Eid day, almost everyone will have to be busy excluding Eid. In addition, the number of passengers during the Eid is also low.
