Sheikh Jamal defeated Partex Sporting Club by 5 wickets on the first day of the tenth round of the Dhaka Premier League on Monday. Captain Nurul Hasan Sohan gave the team an easy victory by scoring a great fifty.
After winning the toss and batting at the Khan Saheb Osman Ali Stadium in Narayanganj, Pertex was bowled out for 205 runs with 10 balls remaining. In response, Sheikh Jamal won by 5 wickets with 4 overs left to bat.
Ahrar Amin Fine scored 35 off 39 balls for Partex. Wicketkeeper batsman Zahiduzzaman Khan played an innings of 32 runs off 49 balls. Besides, Tanveer Haider scored 30 runs and Azmir Ahmed scored 25 runs.
In response, Saikat Ali took the team to a position by playing an innings of 41 runs from 61 balls. Captain Sohan did the rest and Taibur Rahman came down to bat at number 7. They made a great partnership of 105 runs for the sixth wicket.
Sohan played an unbeaten innings of 76 runs off 75 balls. His innings had 8 boundaries and 2 sixes. Taibur left the field victorious with 39 runs off 63 balls.
