Awami League is selling party nomination in Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) constituency. The sale of this form started on Saturday morning at the Dhanmondi political office of the Awami League president.

Jhenaidah-1 Constituency Member of Parliament and District Awami League President Abdul Hai passed away on March 16 at Bamrungrad Hospital in Bangkok. Aspirants have been collecting nomination forms since morning for the seat left vacant by his death.

Mostafizur Rahman Mostak, former Acting General Secretary of Chhatra League collected the nomination form on the first day.

This leader of Awami League, who is seeking nomination, said that I am expecting nomination from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in Jhenaidah-1 (Shailkupa) seat. If he gives an opportunity to the election, I will win the boat and work for the people of Shailkupar.

He said, because of working in this area, I know all the problems of people. So if people’s leader Sheikh Hasina nominates me then I will be able to solve all the problems of the area very easily. If the Prime Minister nominates me, I believe my party leaders will work for me.
