Prime Minister and Awami League President Sheikh Hasina said, we are working to make every person financially prosperous by undertaking multidimensional programs.

 

The Prime Minister said this during an exchange of views with the members of the Dariyarkul Village Development Association at the Tungipara Upazila Awami League office.

He briefly described the multi-dimensional programme, which includes- ‘My Home, My Farm’, financial grants to people, universal pension scheme and guarantee-free loans, proper training of youth to eradicate poverty from the society, etc.

The Chief Minister said, we have taken many initiatives to improve the standard of living of people through poverty alleviation.

The Prime Minister said that if the programs taken by the government are properly implemented, no one will remain poor in the country.

He emphasized on the need to form cooperative societies all over Bangladesh to ensure small savings and thus help in the development of Bangladesh.

The Prime Minister urged the Awami League leaders to be sincere in increasing food production and eliminating poverty through small savings by forming cooperative societies in every area.

He said, “We are working so that everyone can stand on their own feet.”

Later, the Prime Minister distributed reaper machines, fertilizer, laptops, 10 bicycles, 10 rickshaws, 30 sewing machines and 40 thousand rupees to 38 people, 10 pairs of pigeons and educational materials among 38 students at the office premises of Tungipara Upazila Awami League.
