After last year’s disaster, Jessore Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board has become the best in the country in the result of SSC examination. This year 20 thousand 761 students got GPA-5 from Jessore board. The pass rate stands at 92.33, which is the best among the eight education boards in the country.

According to the results announced by the Education Board, 1 lakh 60 thousand 926 students from the Jessore Education Board participated in the examination this year. Among them 1 lakh 48 thousand 577 candidates have passed. In the year 2023, there was a result disaster in this education board. The pass rate was 86.17.

When asked to know the reason for this change, Biswas Shaheen Ahmed, Examination Controller of Jessore Board, said that the students of sixth to tenth class give half-yearly and annual examinations through standardized question papers from Jessore Education Board’s question bank. Due to this it becomes easier for them to face the board final exam question paper. Apart from this, a kind of social awareness has been created among teachers, students and parents. This is also a major reason for good results.

In Jessore board this year too girls have done better than boys. Number of examinees, pass rate and GPA-5 — girls are ahead in all indicators. This year, out of 160 thousand 926 candidates, 81 thousand 459 are female students and 79 thousand 457 are male students. The pass rate of girls is 94.25 percent and that of boys is 90.35 percent. 11 thousand 431 female candidates have achieved GPA-5. This success of girls in this education board has continued for four years.

Examination controller Biswas Shaheen Ahmed said that the presence of girls in the classroom is more than that of boys. They are also relatively more attentive in studies. Apart from that, the parents are now more aware to advance the girls. Overall, girls are doing better than boys.

The best district is Satkhira

Satkhira district is at the top of Jessore Education Board in terms of pass rate and other aspects. The pass rate of the students of this district is 96.12. Khulna is in the second position and Jessore district is in the third position.

100% pass in 422 educational institutions

Students from 2 thousand 566 educational institutions participated in the secondary examination under the Jessore board this year. Out of this 422 students have passed 100%. Whereas last year its number was 193. There is no educational institution where no one has passed this year. Last year also the pass rate was zero in three educational institutions.
