In Raninagar, while leveling the earth cut by the pond, the idol of Lakshmi-Narayana worth crores of hard stone was found. On Sunday morning, the police recovered the idol from Ratwalbazar of Kaligram Union of the upazila.
According to police sources, the idol was found a few days ago while leveling the soil cut by a man named Shukrabar in Ratwal village of the upazila. Locals reported the matter to the police. The police recovered the statue after receiving information.
