Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed grief over the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash.
This information was informed in the press release sent by the Prime Minister's Assistant Press Secretary ABM Sarwar-e-Alam on Monday today.
In the condolence message, the Prime Minister said, "I express deep grief and sorrow over the death of Iranian President Ibrahim Raisi, Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdullahian and their companions in a helicopter crash."
The Prime Minister said, "On behalf of the Bangladesh government and myself, I express my deepest condolences to the Iranian government and the fraternal people of that country in this tragic incident."
He also said, "President Ibrahim Raisi was a wise and dedicated leader. He was committed to the people of his country and worked selflessly for the people. He was also at a unique height in international politics and his exemplary leadership is a role model for us.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina sought forgiveness for the souls of the victims including the President of Iran and expressed her deepest condolences to their bereaved families. He also expressed hope that the people of Iran will overcome this grief.
