The low pressure formed over southwest Bay of Bengal and adjoining west-central Bay of Bengal has developed into a low pressure and developed into a cyclone. Cyclone Remal has already changed course several times.

The Met office says that the cyclone is likely to hit the coastal areas of West Bengal and the capital city of Kolkata. Cyclone Remal is likely to hit Kolkata with a speed of 80-100 km per hour on Sunday evening. If the track does not change, there is a fear that the storm will have a major impact on the city of Kolkata.

Cyclone Remal will also affect the coastal districts of Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions. At the time of impact, the maximum wind speed in these areas can be 100 to 120 km per hour.

Meanwhile, a warning issued by the Meteorological Department said that fishing boats and trawlers operating in North Bay of Bengal and deep seas have been asked to approach the coast with caution until further notice. Also they are told not to wander in the deep sea.
