On Thursday (May 23) at 4:30 pm, a truck loaded with green chillies entered Healy land port.
An importing company named Asha Banijaloy has imported these green chillies. Mahabub Hossain, the representative of the importing company, confirmed the matter.
He said that because of the destruction of chilli crops in the country due to heat, the production has been wasted, as a result, raw chillies are being sold at Tk 200 per kg. Imports have started after receiving permission from Dhaka's farm house to keep the country's market normal. It is expected that the price will come down within two days.
