A passenger bus of Shikhar Paribahan broke into the traffic police box in Matsya Bhavan area of the capital. A Sub-Inspector (SI) of Police was injured in this. Shahbag police station said that this incident took place around 11 o’clock on Friday.
According to the police, the speeding bus hit the police box. The box broke and the bus entered inside. SI was hit by a bus. Rezwan was injured. After the incident, the driver left the bus and ran away.
Shahbag police station OC Mostazirur Rahman told media that an SI’s lip was cut in the incident. He was admitted to Rajarbagh Police Lines Hospital. Efforts are on to arrest the bus driver.
The OC also said that Rezwan was working as an SI in Public Order Management (POM) of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) in Mirpur.
